New policies for Hertz Dollar Thrifty: Free cancellation before pickup time. If voucher is not canceled and the Customer is a no show there will be a $100.00 penalty and then balance of voucher can be reissued as a credit (LAC Global ONLY).
US Domestic Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are required to be done 48 Hrs. before pickup. A $100.00 No Show will be changed (subject to the exceptions below)
Cancellation Exceptions: Clients may cancel their Tour Rate reservation with no Penalty at any time up to 48 hours prior to pick up. If a Client cancels less than 48 hours prior to pick-up, they will have to pay a $100 cancellation fee, which will be collected by Travel Company and then Passed on in its entirety to Hertz. If the Client does not cancel the Tour Rate reservation Prior to the reserved pick-up time, they will have to pay the full amount of the Confirmation Rate to Travel Company, which Travel Company will then Pass on the entire amount to Hertz. Refunds may be made on a case-by-case basis if one of the following exceptions apply:
• Flight cancelled (appropriate documentation must be provided) and Client could not get to rental location
• Natural disaster prevented travel
• Illness prevented travel
• Death in family prevented travel (appropriate documentation must be provided)
• Jury Duty prevented travel (appropriate documentation must be provided)
• On an exception basis (and if signed off on by both parties), for escalated customer service issues, to maintain good customer relations
• Hertz is unable or unwilling to release car to Client (e.g., Client is on Hertz’s Suspended Renters list)
• Travel prevented by circumstances beyond the control of the Client, including weather, terrorism, state of emergency, military acts, invasion, civil disturbance, war, epidemic, pandemic or other acts of God.
One Day Vouchers
One day vouchers are non-refundable if they are less than $100. No reissue or credit will be applied if cancelled.
